Thanks to John Matherly, founder of Shodan, a search engine which focuses on helping companies locate internet-connected devices, we are getting a pretty detailed look at how the web looks on a map. While Matherly’s tweet says the picture shows where “all devices on the internet” were located after he pinged them, that might be a bit of a stretch. Still, the image manages to give us a really good idea of the internet traffic across different parts of the world.ENTERTAINMENT

When developer Dong Nguyen first released Flappy Bird, it took the Apple App Store and Google Play by storm. Some people called the game addictive. Some thought of it as brilliant in its simplicity. Now the developer is back and ready to bestow upon the world a follow-up game that looks just as mindbogglingly and unreasonably frustrating – Swing Copters. It’s Flappy Bird, only you go up instead of right. Rather than avoiding pipes, you’re fluttering wildly between steel beams and swinging hammers. Swing Copters comes to us from the same guy who removed Flappy Bird from the Play Store and the Apple App Store after buckling under the attention he received from the app’s inexplicable success. Swing Copters will be free to play and contain ads, but a 99 cent in-app purchase will let players remove them. l SourceBUSINESS

Tired of her son not answering her calls and texts, a Texas mom decided to invent an app that gives children no choice but to reply to their parents — by locking their phones. After plenty of research, Houston mom Sharon Standifird created Ignore No More, an app that lets parents control their kids’ smartphones if they think they’re ignoring them. To use the app, parents open it up and click their child’s name. They enter an unlock code twice and then click to lock the phone. The child’s screen then goes blank. With one tap, they get a list of pre-approved contacts, and they must call one in order to receive the password to unlock their phone.HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
